Kamadhenu or Surabhi is regarded as a form of Devi (the Hindu Divine Mother) and is closely related to the fertile Mother Earth (Prithvi), who is often described as a cow in Sanskrit. The sacred cow denotes “purity and non-erotic fertility,  sacrificing and motherly nature, sustenance of human life”. It invites blessings, fulfillment and prosperity.

To find the origin of Kamdhenu cow we find numerous stories. Which are

Churning of the cosmic ocean: In one popular story, Kamadhenu emerged from the churning of the cosmic ocean, along with other deities and treasures. The gods and demons churned the ocean to obtain the nectar of immortality, amrita. Indra, the king of gods, then took Kamadhenu to his heaven, where she became the mother of all cows.

Creation by Brahma: In another story, Brahma, the creator god, created Kamadhenu as the daughter of Daksha, one of his sons. She was the wife of Kashyapa, one of Brahma’s grandsons.

Birth from the belch of Daksha: In another version, Kamadhenu was born from the belch of Daksha after he drank the amrita that rose from the Samudra Manthana.

Birth from Brahma’s vomit: In another version, Brahma drank so much amrita that he vomited some of it, from which Kamadhenu emerged.

By placing in the east south east zone of your home or office, Kamdhenu cow, converts the energy responsible for contemplation, worry and inner conflict into productive and fruitful actions, and helps you in fulfilling all your wishes.
